Frequently Asked Questions
How do I attend a Feast of Nourishment gathering?
Start by reaching out through the Connect form to join the mailing list or ask about upcoming dates. Each feast has limited space to keep it intimate and welcoming. When a gathering is scheduled, we’ll share the location, timing, accessibility notes, and what to expect—then confirm your spot if there’s room.
Where are the feasts held, and are they family-friendly?
Feasts take place on the land—outdoors or in simple sheltered spaces—depending on the season and weather. We welcome a mix of ages and backgrounds, including families. If you’re hoping to bring children or have mobility or access needs, let us know so we can share the best fit for each gathering.
What should I bring, and what’s provided?
Bring comfortable layers for being outdoors, sturdy shoes, and anything you need to feel at ease (water bottle, sun hat, or rain jacket). We’ll share any dish-to-share or small help requests ahead of time, but you’re never expected to arrive with a perfect offering. Food is provided and served family-style.
Can I volunteer, cook, or partner with the project?
Yes—community support is part of the feast. We welcome help with set-up and clean-up, cooking support, storytelling or cultural sharing, and local partnerships (farms, artists, community groups). Send a note about your interests, availability, and any skills or resources you’d like to bring, and we’ll follow up.
Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?
We do our best to plan meals that are inclusive and clearly labeled, and we’ll ask about allergies when you sign up. Because these are shared meals, we can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment, but we can often offer vegetarian or vegan options and adjust components when we know in advance. Please share needs early so we can plan safely.
